The Delcy tale is indeed wild! We'll see if she stays president or ends up in jail in the U.S. (or Venezuela) or the target of an internal revolution. This story is far from over!

You're right the the so-called Madrid-Catalonia rivalry exists in the context of European cities competing globally. You just have to look how they are both attracting foreign residents, entrepreneurs, and companies. But there is definitely also an issue of internal Spanish competition—as in how much the "capital effect" helps Madrid, how much the failed separatist push hurt Catalonia, and how much Spain's (over)tourism, focused on the coasts, made Barcelona less attractive. And that'snot even taking into account how soaring housing prices will effect both areas...

Hot Gaspar deserves a movie. Full stop.
