Indie big band Julio y Agosto presents their latest LP ‘Los accidentes,’ the follow-up to ‘La niebla y la autopista,’ at La Confitería. Opening act: Swing jazz trio Bourbon Sweethearts and their treacly renditions of old time-y classics.

On the second stop on their 2018 South America Tour, darkwave duo Drab Majesty will be playing in Buenos Aires for the first time, presenting their album ‘The Demonstration.’ Opening will be a shared DJ set between Benito & Lisa Cerati, plus a live performance by local dream pop outfit Altocamet, who will also be joining them on the rest of the tour.

If you’re already having a hard time deciding which show to see on Friday, allow us to up your indecision: power pop band BOEDØ, new wave act JUVENILIA, and the Santa Fe-based shoegaze outfit Anajunno will be joining forces for a triple header you won’t want to miss. To sweeten the deal? Illustration and photography expos by several local artists.

Alternative noise rock duo Riel is presenting their EP ‘Paseo Psicodélico,’ which doubles as a sneak peek of their upcoming LP. They’ll be joined on this festive occasion by LAPTRA krautrockers Super 1 Mundial and surf rock duo Las Piñas. Plus you can get all the goodies at record stands from Casa del Puente Discos and Discos Laptra at the show.

With the tagline “an evening that will make you question your own existence and everyone else’s (sounds fun, no?),” retro futuristic outfit Shura Multivac, psychedelic indie rock band Dos Vanagas, and the self-described ‘inventor of neutronic music’ Nicolás Carou and backing band El aparato de Golgi will performing their latest material, fresh out of the oven, at the lovely La Confitería.

Coming back from their Mexican tour, post punk heroes Mujercitas Terror will be playing a FREE live show in a secret location that will be disclosed via PM. Stay after the show for some sweet jams but, please, don’t even think about touching the instruments or playing “Free Bird.” Or if you do, don’t say we sent you. Don’t make us look bad.

Dream hop/downtempo artist Baridi Baridi, minimalist trip hop project Veronique En El Espacio, DJ and experimental producer Jessica Bellomo, and IDM glitch act Camille Android will be performing live at the 13th edition of Girls Play Techno, a concert series whose premise is pretty self-explanatory. Come celebrate these talented folks while simultaneously showing off some of your best robot moves on the dance floor.

Experimental trio Atolón Bikini, psychedelic space rockers Runa Gaman, and instrumental rock four-piece Hijos Amigos will be playing live and indulging in their left-leaning musical tendencies at La Comunidad del Sótano. Get there before 11 PM and you can get tickets for half price! If that isn’t comrad-erie we don’t know what is.

‘Melodramatic’ rock band Enero Es Tan Cruel, alternative rock act Los Traumas, and punk rockers Patrullero will be moshing the night away at a secret venue somewhere in Villa Crespo. There will also be art expos and live painting, but let’s be real – mostly moshing and stage diving.

Dream pop band/hosts Fervors is back for the 2nd edition of their cozy concert series, this time with the krauty altrock trio Callao. As always the bands will be performing live in the intimacy of a living room in Villa Ortúzar, with delicious tacos and beer at non-Palermo prices.
