Remember how Seinfeld was supposed to be a show about nothing? Well, today’s episode of the Cadena Nacional was just like Seinfeld, except for the part that it was absolutely not funny at any point.
Don’t ask me what it was about but I honestly have no idea. Sure, you know there’s always an official excuse to use the Cadena. Like “Look! A new hospital!” or “OMG, more money for people!“. You know how it is. But today Cristina spoke from Mendoza, where she was joined by governor Paco Pérez, and it was all about telling people what an awesome province Mendoza has become now that it has a Kirchnerite government running it.
Was her message related to the fact that Mendoza is holding gubernatorial elections on June 21?
Obviously. Perhaps. But besides the fact that she also reminded us of all of her administration’s greatest hits, just like she’s done a million times before, there wasn’t much substance to her presidential message.
I don’t know. Maybe it’s that the show is just getting old, but I’m glad that after December 10 this Cadena Nacional is going on permanent hiatus.
