America’s favorite weekend is upon us. I’m talking the Super Bowl, baby.

Have an American friend that simply won’t shut up about football? Not fútbol but football (whose idea was it to name two great sports the same thing anyway?). They’ve probably been talking about Super Bowl 2019. In case you missed it, here’s the run down: The New England Patriots (AFC Champs) will be playing the Los Angeles Rams (NFC Champs) for the Lombardi trophy this Sunday, February 3rd in Atlanta, Georgia.

This football season has been filled with heartbreak and hope (trust me, as a Chicago Bears fan, I would know). As devastated as I am about losing to the Eagles in the first round over a field goal, I know that we’ll be back next year. If you’re lucky enough to have had your team make it this far, or you’re just an innocent bystander and need a place to watch the ultimate football season finale in Buenos Aires, check out these spots and their deals.

Chicken Bros

One of my friends was recently craving spicy food after having found Buenos Aires to be lacking the spices he was used to back in the States (editor’s note: stay tuned for a whole piece about this, btw). He stopped by Chicken Bros, ordered the hottest wings available, and slowly but surely, regretted it. Halfway through his meal he was fanning himself, sweat was dripping out of his pores, and the staff offered to bring him a glass of milk to combat the heat. Safe to say, if you’re looking for spicy, look no further than Chicken Bros.

You can find the link to the bar’s BA Super Bowl Throwdown here. It’s slated to run from 8 PM until midnight, but I’d get there a little early to settle in and snag a good seat. Chicken Bros promises to have the game on a giant projector and includes a free welcome shot for all fans that bring their team’s shirt. In addition to the world-famous wings, check out the “Todo o Nada Nachos,” and cold beer aplenty. For a night, you might even forget that you’re in Argentina.

Mate beer? Check. Dulce de Leche beer? Check. If you’re looking to broaden your birra horizons, the Sexton Beer Company is absolutely the right place. The bar offer a wide range of craft beers with super positive reviews, in addition to a very friendly wait staff. Considering this recommendation came off my friend’s Argentine coworkers, it’s safe to say that the joint is a local place. So, if you’re looking to mingle and are willing to explain the rules of American football, this one’s for you. While most of the details for their bash have been kept under wrap, starting time has been set for a very precise 8:40 PM.

If you’re afraid of being the only one to show up in a Tom Brady jersey (you really shouldn’t do that anyway), have no fear. PRATA has built its reputation around being an expat headquarters, so you’re bound to run into other fellow Americans or football-loving fans. I’ve also heard that the pepperoni pizza is fantastic, and the burgers too. PRATA will have the game displayed on two big screens (one indoor and one outdoor) with 15 different craft beers on tap. You can find the link to the PRATA Super Bowl Party here. Kickoff will start at 8:40 PM.

Craving some street food while watching the big game? Diggs has got you covered at both of its locations in Palermo. Known for its salchipapas (french fries with hot dogs, which tastes better than it sounds) and bondiopapas (french fries with more meat, claro), get ready to stuff yourself silly all the way through the fourth quarter. The party starts at 8:30 PM and will include a giant screen for your viewing pleasure. Diggs will have plenty of deals on offer, including half pints starting at AR $70 and combo deals for you and all your friends. They also boast a wing deal with two half pints of beer for AR $240.
