An Uber driver can earn a gross salary of AR $48,000 per month, a recent Uber report has announced. That is, if they work 60 hour weeks and maintain very high standards of service (we’re talking 4.5 stars minimum and basically accepting all trips).
The report, released shortly before Uber celebrates his first year in Argentina, demonstrates that drivers who work 60 hour weeks can earn up to AR $12,000 per week, provided they fulfill certain conditions, like high service ratings, making at least one journey each hour they’re connected, and working during peak hours. This accounts to AR $48,000 per month.
According to data compiled by Infobae, this makes Uber drivers, on average, some of the top earners in the country. “It is the second highest salary on average in the private sector,” second only to those who work in oil and gas (AR $63,080 per month), maintain the authors. They can earn more than even those working in banking, who earn an average salary of AR $37,350.
