In Pictures: The Third General Strike of the Macri Administration

Argentina nearly shuts down completely thanks to union pressure.

The country’s primary unions are conducting the third general strike of the Macri administration along with leftist parties. The CGT umbrella union, which called the strike in the first place, is not planning on staging marches during the day, as it wants the images of empty streets speak on its their behalf. The latter group, in contrast, are holding different events. The main one took place at the Obelisco.

With no public transport, gas stations, or banks, the city is eerily deserted. Here are some pictures illustrating how empty the streets are in Buenos Aires as a result of the strike:
