FIFA World Cup: Coach Sampaoli Releases 35-Player Preliminary Squad

Argentine national football team coach Jorge Sampaoli released the 35-player preliminary squad for the upcoming 2018 World Cup in Russia today. Sampaoli will announce the final 23-player roster that will play the most popular sporting event in the world next Monday at 1 PM, in a press conference.

Argentina is part of Group D of the World Cup, along with Iceland, Croatia, and Nigeria. It will debut on Saturday, June 16, at 10 AM against Iceland – which will play its first World Cup – in Moscow’s Otkrytie Arena.
