It happens every winter. President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner has once again canceled her official activities and will need to rest for the next 48 hours after the presidential medical unit said she’s suffering from “acute laryngitis.”
The President was supposed to travel to Chubut to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the arrival of the first Welsh colonists to the area (if you ever go down there, don’t miss their Torta Galesa. It’s amazing.)
The Welsh first minister, Carwyn Jones, is down there today though, so the Chubutenses still have a chance to celebrate.
Her doctors issued a press release stating that she is getting the “appropriate treatment” and is being closely monitored by them.
Get well soon, Cristina!
