Pedro Almodóvar, the director loved by gays, high school Spanish teachers and liberal arts majors the world over is being celebrated in a month long film series hosted by Centro Cultural de la Memoria Haroldo Conti.
The acclaimed director is known for his irreverent pop art esthetic and flare for highlighting the more subtle aspects of Spanish society and culture. He is also credited with “discovering” (in the Christopher Columbus sense of the word) the likes of Penelope Cruz and Antonio Banderas.
Centro Cultural Conti is offering FREE screenings of four of Almodóvar’s more well-known films. Tickets will be available at the door an hour before the start of each film (6pm) with a limit of two tickets per person.
