At a time when the Buenos Aires City government has launched an all-out war against Uber, the ride-sharing app is making clear that it isn’t backing down.

Starting today, Uber customers in Buenos Aires City can now schedule trips up to 30 days in advance. That will certainly make it easier to plan that trip to Ezeiza. And if you change your mind? You can cancel the trip at any time before the driver is on his or her way.

For now, scheduled trips are only available in certain neighborhoods — Las Cañitas, Palermo, Recoleta, downtoan, Retiro and Puerto Madero — but , but it will be extended to other areas of the City in the near future, according to Uber.

How does it work?

  • Select UberX and click on “schedule a ride”
  • Select date, time, starting point and destination
  • Confirm all the details and click on “Schedule UberX.”
  • Uber will send a reminder 24 hours and 30 minutes before your trip and you will be notified when the driver is on its way, as well as if there are any changes in the fare
