Call me a fair weather fan, but the rush of sun and the endorphins with it have me skipping off to watch double the live shows lately. Heck, I even made it out to Casa del Puente’s minifestival last week (that’s right, I was out past midnight on a WEDNESDAY – look at me go, world!). If you want to be like me, and stay out past your bedtime, then keep reading, because we have all the live music options you could possibly need, from post-punk to jazz to folk and more.

Wanna start your pre-weekend on the right foot? Post-punk band Pyramides, noise rock duo Riel, and indie rockers Césped will be celebrating both music and friendship with a triple header of all things good. It all goes down at the lovely La Confitería, which in our humble opinion is currently one of the classiest venues to catch a show in town (that marble staircase! Those tiles on the terrace!). You’ll be able to find me on stage left, trying to blend in with the kids – say hi and make me nervously spill my drink!
10 PM | $100 | La Confiteria | F Lacroze 2963

Psych-pop outfit Dieguez will be performing live at Club Cultural Matienzo, along with Loop 79, a band we know nothing about, except they should possibly re-examine the way they describe themselves in terms of music and race (hint: reference the actual genres! hip-hop, soul, funk etc. work great here).
