Pablo Neptuno‘s Birthday
The jangly bedroom act Pablo Neptuno will be celebrating his 23rd birthday (ah, to be young and write jangly bedroom pop) this Friday, along with his backing band Los Fantasmas del Exilio. The set will be sandwiched between an all-vinyl DJ set courtesy of Cuchodub.
Thursday | February 9th
The best damn surf rock band in town Las Piñas will be playing their only show this summer in the much adored Naranja Verde. Joining them for the night are musician/visual artist Marina Fages and surf punk/doo-wop band Amor en la isla. It’s a Thursday, so don’t be late – the show starts at 11pm

Facu Tobogán // La Banda de la Tormenta // Viento Ayer
Celebrate the birthday of Facu Tobogán (frontman of Tobogán Andaluz) this Friday at your favorite DIY garage bar Espacio Cultural Mi Casa. Reportedly there will be songs, beer, friendship and guest performances, plus opening acts La Banda de la Tormenta and Viento Ayer.

Devoto art space Espacio Patio Rojo reopens its doors for a second round of live music, DJs, VJs, art exhibitions, and all the beer and veggie burgers your skinny jeans can handle. In this edition, folk artist Sergio Petrecca will be performing along with the indefinable but infinitely intriguing Joe Venganza & la Maquinaria de Animales Humanos.

Concert series/art expo/feria A Todo Ritmo is back. Post-punk band Los Darwin and lo-fi noisepop band Juanitzo y el Lobo will be playing, along with Alféizar, a brand new project formed by Nicolas Mateo, German Loretti (Riel) and Diego Martinez (Atras Hay Truenos). For only $50p, you might as well invite that friend you’ve been neglecting since Christmas and hug it out between bands.
Leo Parra y Fer Vazquez + Fer Couto y su Banda Mutante
With a tagline like “THIS FRIDAY WE MAKE A PACT WITH THE DEVIL,” you just know it’s going to be a good show. The coolest clandestine venue in Almagro will be opening its doors this Saturday night for bewitching delta blues act Leonardo Parra Castillo along with country rockers Fer Couto y su Banda. Make a reservation or get there early if you wanna snag a seat.

I’ll admit it. I’m an absolute sucker for sixties throwback parties, and Club Shake is no exception. In this Saturday’s edition, psychedelic throwback garage rockers Los Peyotes will be playing a set full of fuzzed out, groovy jams at Liverpool bar. Plus, Swiss DJ Gerry Germann will be spinning an all-vinyl set of Funk, Rhythm and Blues, Soul, Motown, Northern Soul and much much more. See you on the dance floor.
