It’s Carnaval weekend chickadees! To celebrate we have the triumphant return of Chan Marshall, 4 days of live local music thanks to Festipulenta, and a couple more shows worth making it out to while the weather is still warm, including folk, psych pop, indie, blues and more. Put on our 100% local February playlist and read on my darlings.

Cat Power en Niceto Club / Jue 23.02 – 21hs

Four years since her last show in Buenos Aires, Cat Power returns to Argentina to perform for the first time at Niceto Club. This time she’ll be playing alone, performing selections from her extensive catalog accompanied by either guitar or piano, including a few tracks from her upcoming album (the first since 2012’s Sun). The new songs will focus on a few different topics: her fascination with Bo Diddley, her life as a single mother of her two-year-old son, and the new, almost hermit-like life she leads in Miami.

Sobrenadar y Audia Valdez en The Club House

Both musicians will be performing fresh material, so find that black ribbon choker and your platform sandals and get in there.
