Between the recent passing of that baggage-laden garbage holiday and the obscene amount of shows worth covering this week, The Setlist is, to put it mildly, exhausted. Please excuse our brevity and see yourself directly to the rundown below.
PS. If you haven’t yet checked out our semi-romantic, 100% locally grown V-day mixtape, we have it right here:

The newest concert series in town claims to be “the festival of new, radiant energy” (well ain’t that just swell), and is dedicated to all things indie pop, punk rock and alternative with a touch of lo-fi, shoegaze, or dream pop. In its inaugural edition, Javi Punga Turbo Band will be playing along with Bahia Blanca natives Las jóvenes idealistas, Amor en la isla frontwoman Sol Marianela, pop punk band María and LAPTRA indie band Koyi.

Devoto art space Espacio Patio Rojo reopens its doors for a second round of live music, DJs, VJs, art exhibitions, and all the beer and veggie burgers your skinny jeans can handle. Elevatorio, the second freshly minted concert series to debut this week, begin their tenure in Almagro with a triple-header of dudes with guitars, including the oh-so-krauty METADRON, the trippy yet still rockin’ Flores de Sinaloa and the mysterious LAM (Can ya throw a girl a bandcamp or somethin? Soundcloud? Myspace even?).

Record label Yolanda hosts its 9th iteration of the festival, this time headlined by surfy garage band walter tv, the side project of both former and current bassists of Mac Demarco Pierce McGarry and Jo McMurray. Also playing are “latino Elvis meets the Ramones” singer-songwriter Tall Juan, local psych-pop band OK Piramides, DIY rock devotees 107 Faunos, downtempo synthpop act Glass, and post rock band La Otra Cara de la Nada.
Experimental electropop act Diosque returns for one last show playing (or squeezing the last drops, as they put it) from their last album “Constante.” Visual artist turned indie pop musician AVI opens.

Do you start your night right around the hour I like to call “pizza-bedtime?” Then boy, do I have a show for you. Singer-songwriter Lupe Sendra takes a leaf out of Rosario Blefari’s playbook with her whimsical and lighthearted pop songs. This Sunday evening she’ll be playing selections from her recent EP “Ultramar Eléctrico Cobalto” at Palermo cultural center El Quetzal.
