The Bubble Argentina is expanding and is looking for energetic journalists with excellent English skills to work in our new newsroom during this exciting time for the company. These are all full time paid positions.

The Bubble is a digital media company dedicated to covering news and events in (for now) Argentina, with grandiose plans that include video, radio, podcasts, and expansion into additional Latin American markets.

We are currently looking for:

  • Staff Writers (Politics)
  • Marketing and Advertising Director
  • Public Relations Director

The Staff Writer’s responsibilities will include:

  • Reading newspapers and online websites, watching television, and following the conversation on social media regarding ongoing and breaking news stories related to current events in Argentina
  • Writing and publishing daily articles with content directly or indirectly related to politics
  • Pitching original ideas to the Managing Editor, as well as researching stories, collecting information, contacting sources and interviewing people
  • Collaborating with other senior staff members regarding multimedia content under development (video, radio, newsletters, etc)
  • Spending at least eight hours per day, five days per week in The Bubble’s newsroom
  • Working with volunteers and contributors

Compensation will consist of a full time salary.


The Advertising and Marketing Director’s responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and successfully implementing immediate, short-term and long term strategies to accelerate the revenue and profit growth of online advertising products and services in the company
  • Leading and coaching advertising sales staff, including volunteers, to meet and exceed revenue and customer service expectations in order to achieve growth goals and objectives
  • Routinely meeting with advertising customers to identify and respond to their advertising needs in order to exceed their expectations and achieve business objectives
  • Routinely meeting with senior leaders in the company to develop and implement short and long term strategic plans to accomplish company objectives
  • Develop and successfully operate within annual department revenue and expense budgets

Candidates must have the following qualifications:

  • Successful goal-oriented and results-driven online media advertising sales leadership
  • Ability to think and plan strategically
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects on deadline and on budget
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong customers needs-based selling skills and the ability to develop this proficiency in others
  • Bachelors Degree in advertising, marketing or related media field or equivalent work history experience
  • English and Spanish proficiency

Compensation will consist of a full time salary. As we increase advertising and profitability, this salary will grow less meager and full and fat.


The Public Relations’ Director responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with all members of The Bubble on projects across the company including editorial, advertising and events
  • Leading and coaching Public Relations volunteers who track and compile press coverage for local media reports and build out and manage existing press lists to expand press coverage
  • Meeting with partner companies and organizing events
  • Coordinating the logistics of events and managing volunteers during said events
  • Providing administrative support for the team including coordinating conference calls, meetings, managing schedules, tracking expenses, arranging travel, etc
  • Pursuing placements online and on TV as well as speaking engagements for company members
  • Use working knowledge of media industry to help position The Bubble’s overall brand and raise its awareness

Candidates must have the following qualifications:

  • Passion for Argentine news/pop culture/entertainment, a general sensibility for the tech and media industry and someone who knows and loves all things social
  • Knowledge of the media industry and familiarity with The Bubble’s editorial voice
  • Knowledge of the local Argentine and expat scenes in Buenos Aires
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills both in Spanish and English
  • Proficient in Google applications (Google Docs, Google Forms, Google Site, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • 1 – 3 years experience in media and/or PR

Compensation will consist of a full time salary. As we increase advertising and profitability, this salary will grow less meager and full and fat.
