If you’re a Hollywood star, promoting your film can be tough. You sit on a chair all day, listening to stupid repetitive questions from reporters who (many times, I’m sure) haven’t even seen your movie.

Or, you’re Oprah Winfrey and you just DGAF about anything and just sit there promoting A Wrinkle in Time (the classic movie based on Madeleine L’Engle’s eponymous novel) after a really long day, when you’re asked by local reporter Barbie Simmons to send an encouraging message to Lionel Messi.

Because football, or whatever.

“In Argentina, we are really passionate about football,” Barbie explains enthusiastically in case Oprah is not aware, “and we have our Lio Messi, who is our big star, so if you could send them an inspirational message like you did at the Golden Globes and maybe we can win the World Cup!”

Oprah, surprisingly, obliges: “Messi, this message is for you, and this is the thing, you already know this in advance: You go deep, you go deep, and you find the strength inside yourself, and Messi: Be a warrior.”

Oh, and guess what, Reese Witherspoon (who was sitting right next to her) suddenly jumps and says that Messi “is her son’s favorite player, he has all his jerseys and everything!”

OMG! Too bad he didn’t play today’s friendly against Spain because I’m sure he would have burned his Messi jersey.
