Despite what many are calling a lukewarm debate lacking substance, local media outlets are calling Cambiemos’ Mauricio Macri the winner of last night’s historic runoff debate by a long shot.

Let’s have a look at what everyone had to say.

At 11 AM this morning, over 269,000 people had registered their opinion on Infobae’s online survey, 76 percent of whom crowned Macri as their debate king. This matched up with La Nación, Clarín, Crónica, C5N and Infonews‘ results which saw this same right-wing character win by 89, 87, 87, 86 and 81 percent respectively.

CNN en Español also pitched in and registered an 88 percent victory for Macri.

More than 15 million people around the country made use of an app called Debate Real Time, which allowed smartphone users to provide their opinions on the event minute by minute.

According to respondents, Macri performed best when discussing economic and human development as well as  education. The two were said to performed almost on par (with Macri taking a one-point lead) when discussing security and human rights, and Scioli was deemed to perform better when discussing democratic strengthening.
