Wondering what to do this weekend? Explore your senses and expand your mind with Teatro Ciego.

Centro Argentino de Teatro Ciego is a unique venue in which all of the plays/events are held in complete darkness to highlight the importance of your other four senses.

Teatro Ciego is showcasing a play, titled Luces de Libertad, which depicts the Revolución de Mayo. I know you have been meaning to brush up on your Argentine history (me too), but it’s hard to focus when there is so much to do in the city, but now you can combine you thriving social life with intellectual enrichment; it is a win-win. Before entering the room you line up, put your hand on the shoulder of the person in front of you and close your eyes.  You are then lead into a dark room (I promise this is not the beginning of a low budget horror movie) and escorted to your seats. The play explores themes of justice, memory, and truth within Argentine history through its use of sound, smells, and touch.

Instead of your normal previa, this week try theater. The play is only an hour long, so you will be out in plenty of time to hit the bar afterwards. Give your eyes a break this weekend by getting your experiential theater on!
