Always dreamt of strolling down Las Ramblas? Longed to gaze at the ceiling of the awe-inspiring Sagrada Familia? How about exploring the modernist wonderland of Parque Güell?

Güell, now just might be your chance.

As recently announced by the directors of IAG, airlines within the group – including Air Lingus, Vueling and British Airways – will offer low-cost flights between Barcelona and various destinations throughout the U.S. and Latin America starting June of this year.

Excitingly, on the one hand they are talking about just using the current resources the airlines within IAG possess; however the possibility of a new airline being created for these flights to Barcelona alone is also being thrown around. A final decision has yet to be made.

Along with Buenos Aires, other cities also being considered by IAG are: San Francisco, Santiago de Chile, La Habana and Tokyo.

It doesn’t stop there. Also getting in the game to provide new and economic flights for Argentina this year are Avianca, Andes Líneas Aéreas, FlyBondi, Alas de Sur and American Jet – set to bring into operation a considerable 172 national and international new flight paths.
