It’s that time of the year! When the cost of public transportation goes up for commuters in Buenos Aires again. So yes, fare hikes for buses will go into effect today at midnight, and just like before, you better hold on to your SUBE card if you want to keep paying less.

Starting tonight, the lowest bus fare for a single ride – $2.50 – is going up the $3 pesos, and that’s only if you have your SUBE card available. If you don’t, it’s going up to $6 pesos. These are the new fares for buses operating in the City and Greater Buenos Aires area.
