The following is a list of the most frequently asked questions that people post on The Bubble or ask via email. Enjoy.

WHAT IS THE BUBBLE?

journalistThe Bubble is a digital media company that dissects what is happening in Argentina and Latin America by covering current events and analyzing pop and media culture.

The Bubble is where you come to understand the news. We take complex topics about Argentina, from politics and sports to the economy and the media and explain them to help you grasp reality in an easy way.

A new kind of media is emerging and The Bubble wants to join the revolution. Our company endeavors to provide local and international readers with a full understanding of current events about the country. It’s Argentina from an insider’s point of view.

Our mission is to provide you with a distinctive, no-bullshit approach to the facts. And while every writer has their own voice and opinion, they all speak from a clear position, unmarred by the noise and hot air that pollutes the traditional media.

It’s reality –news– taken with a big, cynical grain of salt.

WHY IS YOUR CONTENT IN ENGLISH?

Argentina is not an island and as the geopolitical map continues to change, Latin America is becoming a major power player in the world stage. Many people from around the world choose Argentina as their country to live in and need a news outlet that allows them not only to be informed but also make them feel part of the local culture. International readers looking for information about Argentina will also find this site useful.

I THINK IT'S OFFENSIVE. WE SPEAK SPANISH IN THIS COUNTRY.

Well, the Buenos Aires Herald has been around since 1876 and I don’t see you complaining.

DO YOU WORK FOR THE CIA?

Seriously?

WHO IS UNPAID INTERN?

That’s a secret I’ll never tell. XOXO, Unpaid Intern.

LAS MALVINAS SON ARGENTINAS?

*rolls eyes* We are not going to get drawn into another futile argument, but if you must know, yes. We believe the Malvinas Islands belong to Argentina. Happy? That’s why we call them the Malvinas and not the Falkland Islands.

CRITICIZING MY COUNTRY WHILE HIDING BEHIND THE SAFETY OF A FOREIGN LANGUAGE IS VERY OFFENSIVE...

Not technically a question, but whatever. First of all, many of us may have not been born in Argentina, but this is our country too because we choose to live here. And second, we were already opinionated assholes in our home country, and we will continue to be opinionated assholes here. Get used to it.

IF YOU HATE THIS COUNTRY SO MUCH, WHY DON'T YOU GO BACK TO WHEREVER THE HELL YOU COME FROM?

See: previous answer.

ARE YOU IMPERIALISTS/BUITRES/CIPAYOS/COLONIALISTS/PIRATES?

Please stop.

CAN I WORK FOR YOU?
