Argentine heads of state, current and past, just can’t seem to escape the specter of House of Cards.
After President Mauricio Macri insisted that the show bore no resemblance whatsoever to his reality as President, yesterday, visiting House of Cards star Michael Kelly, who plays Doug Stamper, went on air and drew a comparison between the show and former President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.
“I find the woman who used to be President really interesting. Her story and the things that happened before she finished her term… it all makes me think, ‘This is like House of Cards‘,” he said while speaking on radio Metro 951.
Oh yeah, he went there.
Kelly is in town promoting the new season of the insanely intense Netflix show (NO SPOILERS). In the radio interview, he discussed the series, President Barack Obama’s fandom and even Donald Trump.
