After another goal-filled weekend in the Primera Division followed by some midweek continental action – Argentine football is the gift that keeps on giving. Here are the Copa Libertadores games you should keep an eye on this week,
Jorge Wilstermann vs Atletico Tucuman
Atletico Tucuman will need to rekindle the kind of form that saw them work their way into the competition two months ago, as they`ve failed to win in their last five matches – both in local and international competitions. They travel to Cochabamba tonight to face Bolivian side Jorge Wilstermann in their Group 5 match, as they look to get themselves off the bottom of the group’s table. They`ll be without some key players, however, and will feature just 4 defenders in their squad – both starters and reserves – due to injuries.

Estudiantes vs Barcelona SC
Also tonight, Estudiantes will host Barcelona SC in La Plata. The Ecuadorians lead Group 1 while Estudiantes have yet to register a point and currently sit at the foot of the table. They will have club legend Juan Sebastián Verón in their ranks for the tie, however, at the ripe old age of 42. The decision by Nelson Vivas to include the club chairman-come-midfielder, who has rarely featured since coming out of retirement, reflects a tweak to the system that will see La Bruja sit at the base of midfield. At that age, we can`t see him doing much else, but his presence may be the boost his team need to see if they can finally score some points in the competition.
Kick-off: 21:00, Fox Sports
Libertad vs Godoy Cruz
Tuesday`s final game involving Argentine teams pits Mendoza`s Godoy Cruz against Paraguayan champions Libertad. They travel to Asunción having lost three games on the bounce, and coach Lucas Bernardi has said that his team must “get themselves into action” if they want to make any progress. Tonight could be the night to switch their fortunes around, however, with all four teams in their group level with 1 point each.
Kick-off: 19:30, Fox Sports 3
