Full details have been released about the “International Forum for Emancipation and Equality”, which will take place between 12th and 14th March at the Teatro Cervantes.
Well-known political figures, intellectuals and leaders from throughout America and Europe will get together to discuss the political processes across Latin America and to analyze and comment on the social economic crisis in Europe.
The goal of the Forum, which is organized by Ricardo Forster of the “Secretario de Coordinación Estratégica para el Pensamiento Nacional”, is to “discuss the use of politics as a tool for democratic emancipation”.
US intellectual and popular writer Noam Chomsky will be attending the forum, alongside many European and Latin American figures. Paco Ignacio Taibo II and Cuauhtémoc Cárdenas have confirmed that they will be the Mexican representatives, as have the Vice President of Bolivia Alvaro García Linero, the Chilean Deputy Camila Vallejo and the Uruguayan Senator Constanza Moreira.
Additionally, Italian philosopher Gianni Vattimo and Spanish journalist and writer Ignacio Ramonet will come to the conference to comment on the economic situation in Europe.
The forum is open to all members of the public, and entrance is completely free.
