Two people have been killed after a truck carrying natural gas was involved in a crash on the Panamerican highway earlier today.
The driver and a passenger in the natural gas truck died at the scene near Campana, in Buenos Aires province, whereas the driver of a flatbed truck that caused the crash was unharmed. The flatbed truck went out of control and crossed the dividing line onto oncoming traffic and colliding with the natural gas truck. The cabin caught fire.
According to the Télam news agency, none of the natural gas leaked out of the tank after the accident.
Congestion continues to be a problem in the area as forensic police continue to work on site.
